Fresh Equity Welcomes Stephen Craik
As spring approaches Fresh Equity is growing its team in preparation for further economic growth.
Stephen is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. Before joining Fresh Equity in January 2018, he spent twenty-four years as a Corporate Finance Partner with KPMG leading their corporate finance business in the Midlands.
During that time, he completed a wide range of transactions including MBO’s, BIMBOS, acquisitions, refinancings and divestitures across many different sectors. He was awarded Finance Birmingham’s Corporate Finance Advisor of the Year on numerous occasions and was also the winner of the prestigious Sunday Times ‘Rainmaker of the Year’ award.
During his career with KPMG, Stephen worked extensively with mid-market businesses, helping them to develop innovative funding structures, to grow through acquisition and, ultimately, to achieve a successful exit.
Like Paul, he recognises the gap in the funding market for deals that require £500,000 to £5m of equity and is committed to develop innovative and flexible solutions that are suited to the needs of both developing businesses and the entrepreneurs who own them.
Fresh Equity Ltd CEO, Paul Isaacs, said:
“We’re delighted to welcome Stephen Craik to Fresh Equity. Having spent over 25 years involved in buying, selling and advising SMEs in and around the Midlands, we believe his experience will be an enormous asset, not only to our business, but also to our investee companies and their management. “
Fresh Equity is a Midlands-based investment company, working with talented management teams to develop businesses that have potential for significant growth. A genuine passion for helping companies to achieve their potential.
